Rx 2 Izotope Plossive Removal
Posted : admin On 08.04.2020iZotope’s award-winning RX 6 Audio Editor is the industry standard for audio repair, restoration, and enhancement. It offers a comprehensive suite of tools focused on alleviating common to complex audio issues. Post production professionals, audio engineers, and video editors alike use RX to transform problematic recordings into production-ready audio.
Design Philosophy
The RX 6 Audio Editor is a visual, selection-based editing environment. Most of its user interface is devoted to the Spectrogram/Waveform display, an integral part of the RX editing workflow. The display enables you to refine and visualize your audio, allowing for better recognition and selection of problem areas.
RX’s De-plosive audio plug-in and module removes plosive pops and mic bumps in a recording, and does so more intelligently and transparently than a simple EQ. De-plosive is able to intelligently identify plosives, and then separate and remove them from the audio signal, while preserving the fundamental frequency and harmonics of the dialogue. SENSITIVITY: This helps adjust the sensitivity with which De-plosives detects issues. If the plosives in your audio are not being effectively reduced, try increasing the value of this parameter to more easily detect plosives.
Using the spectrogram to identify audio problems
Create a New ProjectA new window will pop up asking where you want to save your project. Type in a filename, select where you want it saved, then click Create (leaving the other options alone). When you create a new voice project, you will automatically be presented with two audio tracks in the GarageBand timeline: Male Basic and Female Basic.Click on whichever audio track you will be using, then click on the red record button at the bottom of the screen. GarageBand will then begin to populate the timeline with the audio received from the microphone on your Mac. Record Your VoiceThe next step is to record your voice.
In our 2nd tutorial on iZotope's audio repair tool RX7, we will be looking at editing using various modules. Though many modules are included, we decided to focus on what we feel are the most commonly used ones - Breath Control, De-Click, Spectral De-noise, De-plosive, and De-ess.
- See the Identifying Audio Problems chapter for tips on using the spectrogram to spot common audio issues.
